When Trump walked down the golden escalator, Dilbert creator Scott Adams predicted that he would win the Presidency. Dilbert doesn't belong to a political party, doesn't vote, and didn't support Trump - he just predicted that Trump would win because of his persuasion capabilities. As the campaign went on, Adams (who lives in the Bay Area) lost half his friends and all his speaking engagements. At one point, however, he was getting so many death threats he went on record as being a Hillary supporter. Comically, he made no bones about the fact that he was doing it for his personal safety.
