So, here is something I would be interested in hearing opinions on.
We know from reading the Wolfe indictment that the FBI had him dead to rights for lying on Dec 15. They started the interview by having him read statements about conversations and connections with reporters, answer them yes or no, and initial them.
They ended the conversation with him admitting he had lied, and that yes he had talked to all these reporters and yes he was banging the one reporter.
So, why did they take six ADDITIONAL months to make this case public? The grand jury indcitments were handed down in early May, what were they doing for those five months, and what were the doing since May that required the indictments to be sealed.
If it is as simple a case of lying to the FBI and leaking to the news, what else is there to investigate. He’s guilty as hell, according to the affidavit he even admitted he lied by the end of the interview.
What other loose ends were the FBI investigating? Were they considering sweeping it under the rug, but they suddenly in May decided to bring charges?
The time line doesn’t make sense to me.
Speculate away? What do you think is going on?
With the sheer number of potential bad actors inside/associated with The Swamp aka Beltway, I'd claim that time was spent using Wolfe's leads to harvest up some folks up & down the food chain plus clean up any loose ends.
Too many Primary Targets to waste a strike.
They were likely investigating the various journalists and their associates/bosses in the various news (and I use that word loosely) organizations so they could find as many people as possible who were involved in this and bring charges on them as well.
IMHO.
These kinds of crimes are like when you see a mouse (or cockroach) in your house. You know it’s not the only one.
Speculation???? They were bagging others who leaked secret info during that six months.
i believe the answer is in that it relates to Russia gate and catching more of the conspirators.
Watkins broke the Carter Page angle of the Russia investigation back in April 2017 with a story called A Former Trump Adviser Met With A Russian Spy. In it, Watkins claimed, The revelation of Pages connection to Russian intelligence which occurred more than three years before his association with Trump is the most clearly documented contact to date between Russian intelligence and someone in Trumps orbit.
Because it's part of "The plan."
Q said "Trust the plan" and "Trust Sessions" more than once.
Sessions/Q/Trump didn't make the Wolfe indictment public because they needed time. Time to roll up more bad guys, time to not alert bad guys they were coming, and time to prepare other cases.
What do you think of that, Jack? Do you trust the plan?
