“Betty Davis” or “Bette Davis”?
One was a Rod Stewart song about a ‘funk era’ singer.
The other is the very beautiful iconic actress.
My preference would be Bette (nee Ruth Elizabeth Davis)!
Wow. The places we go when Q isn’t posting...
(Where’s Melania? q.v. Q post 919 from March 10th: “Wait until you learn who has been talking to you here.”)
Not that we are trying to identify Q team leader. Food for thought though... ;)
I think you're onto something, Kit. There's something about Melania.

All the boys think she's a spy.

Is this the song you mean? Bette Davis Eyes
According to Wikipedia the biggest hit of 1981. Apparently it's about "Bette" despite the pronunciation is "Betty".
And it's easy to confuse Kim Carnes with Rod Stewart, if you are listening. (If you are watching, not so much).
ROFL!
OK - I thought Rod Stewart WAS singing about “Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte” actress.... that’s “Bette,” right?
Didn’t know there really was another “Betty” - even though I spelled it that way....
And Rod was not singing about “Hush” Bette?????
Too many moving parts to keep track of.
