It was during this time she became active in politics in Chicago during Harold Washington’s tenure as Mayor. I lived there during that time and it was a pretty corrupt city to begin with and it sure did not get better under his reign.
This is where the whole connection to BHO started and she ran things at the White House when he was in office. No one got to him unless it was through her

This caused me to recall some comments from ultra-prog relatives in Chicago/area. They tear up and get lumps in their throats over Harold.
I wonder: was this the real genesis of the idea of a radical progressive black POTUS? If Harold Washington could do it in Chicago, why couldn’t whatever-his-name-really-is do it in Washington, DC?
