Kanye West's week of seemingly unending tweets (and corresponding media attention) vaults him back onto Billboards Social 50 chart, re-entering at No. 2 on the May 5-dated list.
The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wikipedia and Tumblr. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and engagement. The charts latest tracking week ended April 26.
West, who initially reactivated his Twitter account on April 14, reaches No. 2 -- his highest ranking since hitting No. 2 in March 2016 -- with 2.5 million retweets and 898,000 mentions in the week ending April 26, according to Next Big Sound.
Kanye West accepts the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award onstage during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards at Microsoft Theater on Aug. 30, 2015 in Los Angeles.

Most of what is up there is due to the power of the 15 year old girl. It looks like tweets are the new Tiger Beat. 4 Boy bands and a former boy band member make up half the list. One (Avici) is getting attention because he recently passed away. Shawn Mendes is a nice looking young man with relatable (to the young girls) songs.
I DO NOT CARE WHO YOU ARE....that is frigging FUNNY!!!
:)
He’s OUR Kanye, now.
and Kim K is calling Jared Kushner on policy! what in the world is going on... lol
BTS, who are #1 on the chart, are a k-pop (Korean pop) boy band.
