Rusty, chill please. We’ve been messing around with the word “coup” all day, and very little of it had to do with Native Americans. Surely you don’t think someone here would be racist about Natives, now would you? If you’re looking for a fight, go find that Elizabeth Warren chick... :)

Blu is right. The word coup had been whacked around awhile before I jumped in with "counting coup". (It was either that or going with coo coo kachoo). sometimes we just kill time until the next "Q" drop. It drives some nuts here and we try to keep it to a minimum.

I went to an extreme and "counting coup" took on a life it's own. It was light hearted and mostly goofy with some actual history mixed in.
I can imagine it read funny when you jumped in, especially without knowing what went before and I am sure some of the conversations you had would have been different.
I take it all back, except the part where coup can be a noun and a verb.
