To be exact, the Apostle Paul wrote:
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil ( and by craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains. )
"ῥίζα γὰρ πάντων τῶν κακῶν ἐστὶν ἡ φιλαργυρία"
Timothy 6:10
Money is a useful medium of exchange, but can be an obsession. The greek word "pan" means "all" but the plural is used here.
There was one version, Tischendorf, that used "pas", all, but I suspect that "higher" German Criticism and proximity to Marx had something to do with that selection.

One thing I've found reassuring with Trump is that he seems to be somewhat detached from his wealth. Money is in and of itself nothing. It's what you can do with it, for good or evil. Trump gave up his salary as POTUS because the amount was trivial & meaningless compared to his true worth and power + ability as POTUS to effect things and make a difference. Before becoming POTUS I thought Trump was a believer but questioned whether he was truly saved - I have no such reservations since Trump assumed office.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:24

I am going to sort of withdraw my criticism of Tischendorf. I do not know enough about him.
