Well I cut the ends off and slice them in half. Then I put olive oil over them and lots of pepper and a little kosher salt. Then, I slice up some garlic cloves and then some bacon ends.
Bacon ends, you ask?
Well I get a package of bacon and slice off about 1.5 inches off each end. Right while they are still in the package! Those go in with the Brussels sprouts and the rest get cooked with my eggs for breakfast.
Then I either put them in the oven at 400 degrees or I wrap them in tin foil and put them on the grill. I cook until they are blackened. They end up tasting like candy.
Yes, Brussels sprouts can taste like candy and they have a much better nutritional value than candy. If you don't believe me, you can ask Byron Jones.
He will tell you.
My wife and I drizzle them in olive oil and lightly coat with sugar and garlic. Then bake them at 425 for about 20 minutes. They are delicious. I am still kicking myself for the decades when I refused to touch them.
Better late than never! :)
Baked with almonds and garlic....yum!
Steamed and served with "Dat'L'DotIt" hot vinegar, delicious.
Some nights I steam a bunch and that’s all I have for dinner.
You can get bacon ends by the pound at Shop N Save here...
I like my sprouts split and roasted with a little sugar, parmesan, lemon or orange juice, olive oil and dried cranberries [add the berries near the end of the roasting process so they don’t burn. Oh, and bacon...]
Slice them thin and they make a beautiful intensely green slaw.

i LOOOVE Brussel Sprouts!!
From the time I first laid eyes on the nasty little things when I was a kid, I knew I was going to hate them. But I was wrong. I loved them! Still do.
I like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli...but Brussels Sprouts.... No.
One of maybe 2 or 3 vegetables I won’t eat.
Yes sir, that is how I cook them. Also known to add some balsamic vinegar.
My wife and I put about 15-20, along with thinly-sliced heirloom garlic and just a tiny bit of water, in a microwavable bowl and microwave for 2 - 2:15 minutes. We then put a teaspoon of butter on it.
It is at that right spot between firm and soft. Tastes great!
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
That sounds good. I stuff my Thanksgiving turkey with Burwell sprouts. Everybody fights over them.
You are doing it just right!

Nuke halves till still crisp. Then to a pan with olive oil, bacon bits and pine nuts till lightly browned.
A DIL never liked them till she had them this way.
