A Columbia University student was angry with her sociology professor for saying it was appropriate to use the term negro when referring to people of color while discussing the 1960s. She wrote to the professor, explaining to him that negro was an offensive and outdated term, but he failed to adjust his vocabulary. "I didn't pay attention in class after that," the student, Maria Martinez, told The Columbia Daily Spectator.

That student was trying to teach the teacher. And when it failed, she went public.
Hogg said things about old people. Apparently this old professor doesn’t know anything either. Students are doing the teaching now.
These ‘little people’ do not know anything. They get up and every day is a new day. No root in history, no desire to know history, just entitlement.
“This professor needs to fail this student for just being dumb.”
“Dumb” is a mere surface condition while “ignorant” cuts clear to the bone and this “student” has fully qualified for the latter label. “Ignorant” indicates a willful condition of resistance to education and, in a just world, would allow the professor to submit the student’s name to the university for elimination from school. Unfortunately, it is Columbia and the real/just world dares not to intrude there.
four races:
caucasian
negroid
mongoloid
south seas islanders
It’s funny, but “black” was offensive in the fifties.
Anyone remember the Mao revolution. The elite educated were sent to the farm to scoop manure in the end after being useful tools........................
Grandpa didn't "pull" his words like Festus, but had a hint of that.
I used to think there were rural New England-isms in his speech too... it was "down home," whatever it was. His wife - my maternal grandmother - had no accent that I was aware of, and she was a model of correct grammar and pronunciation; they made for quite a contrast... I never heard him use the word "potato," while grandma wouldn't have been caught dead saying "tater."
Just complaining for the sake of complaining
Or Brazil nuts.
How did it come to this?

“That student was trying to teach the teacher. And when it failed, she went public. Good luck to that loser trying to find a job.”
A future social worker, community organiser or corporate “diversity” expert.
Thank you Lord that I am retired and don’t have to deal with this BS more than necessary.
Why is it news because some silly girl is offended?
She must not have taken any science classes. The 4 primary races in the world are: Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid and Australoid. What a waste it is to lose one’s mind.
People from some regions would often call potatoes taters or call windows winders. I imagine the n-word was created just because of laziness in speech.
Once the Universities became a business, the students became the customers, and customers are never wrong if you want to have a successful business.
NAACP - the CP stands for Colored People. Oh, the horror!
Negro is Spanish for black. In the southland when the push was on to eliminate “nigger” as a term, many southerners tried to learn to say “knee-grow” and for many of those it came out “Nigra” which is, coincidentally, simply the Italian word for black. Finally they learned to say “knee-Grow” by saying each syllable separately at first then that term got oultlawed, too. Incidentally,”nigger” is simply the only possible pronunciation of Negro in the 50s and 60s southern speech. Because of the constant pressure to change what southerners say and to demonize whatever it is, many southerners outside of the metropoli have gone back to the original term and Yankees be damned. We can’t please yankees because it is our existence that is hated, not so much our speech, and why the hell should we even try ???
That is precisely it.
Or will be.
We are a couple elections away from the boot.
If I had a bunch of firearms, which I don't, and a lots greater bunch of ammo, which I really, really don't, I would be hoping I'll be around long enough to use lots of it in defense of my country.
Which I would.
"That'll show those whitie mofos"
From now on, "white people" will be called "Atlantic-Americans."
