John Wayne was great in Red River and The Searchers and pretty darn good in Stagecoach, the Cavalry Trilogy and The Shootist. Problem is he got type cast a lot later in his career.

It's not his greatest acting but if you want a really fun movie check out McClintock.

Saw them all and enjoyed McClintock, too.

Probably would have liked his Davy Crockett more if I hadn’t seen Disney’s first. :-)
