Merry Christmas!
I’m next door here in Mississippi.
Yuengling in a gold rimmed Stella Artois beer glass.
Wife in the kitchen preparing dinner.
Listening to Henry Mancini back here in the music/computer room.
Perry Como’s Christmas Special 1974 blaring on the TV.
can't go wrong there....
I'm not alone but sometimes I feel lonely, if that makes any sense....
I think about the Christmases as a child and young adult and they were wonderful....since I moved to be in my husband's home state 3000 miles away, it has never ever been the same, much as I try...and then I go thru my usual cycle of regret for moving out here.
40 yrs mind you......
I do miss my brothers and sister and their children and the traditions they carry on as we all grew up with but are so different from what I experience now...
I miss my church..
I miss loving nieces and nephews...
I miss pierogi's on Christmas Eve....
but God bless us everyone....we must learn to bloom where we are planted...
