I attended grad school at the University of Southern Mississippi. I actually lived in Lamar County. The county seat is a tiny town named Purvis.
When I had to attend to official business such as paying for my car tag, of course I had to go there. That tiny town is the hometown of Lacey Chabert.

and we don't watch any present tv shows beside Jeopardy and "The Middle"...

Of course that would be "racist" and never allowed. But when I watch those Hallmark movies, I can see that they're trying to be somewhat PC. The heroine's best friend or coworker is usually black. And Latinos are becoming more common in Hallmark movies and series. But of course, this isn't enough for the network to avoid being called racist. Hallmark knows its audience, which is probably older white females who want clean, wholesome romance with good-looking white guys. Someday such movies will probably be banned entirely, so I'll enjoy them while I can.
I’ve spent a lot of time with relatives in and out of nursing homes and memory care units. I can attest that the Hallmark channel is on non-stop in these places.

Love all the new Christmas movies they make every year, I collect them all! Usually only 2 or 3 stand the test of time each year however this season is looking better than ever with 5-6 greats I think. The best ones are very useful for elevating a mood when needed at any time of the year.
I very rarely find Saturday night live funny, but they did a good job on this skit.
