Smoke and mirrors. We wont see that money. Our Tricare premiums have also gone up so our COLA raise goes straight to Tricare. So in all reality we got a net raise of zero%.

Except for us retirees who are on Tricare for Life - paying a lot more for Medicare but the SS raise, by law, has to outweigh the Medicare rise.....have to pay more to see a raise elsewhere....just went on Medicare and got a small refund from Tricare prime because it happened before end of Tricare season I was in - that puts me about $50 ahead in the coming year - after deducting the $2700 or so extra we pay for Medicare......for a grand total of -$2650 for the year.....still a better deal than what most 'civilians" are getting....

Which reminds me of how Congress broke its promise to us retirees who enlisted when free healthcare for life was part of the enlistment enticement - because it was policy instead of law - which begs why they can't break the DACA promise to illegals...........

Not all of us. I don't use Tricare Prime; I'm perfectly content with Standard. I have very little out of pocket with them.

On the other hand, the COLA, for increases in cost of living would specifically be for things like Tricare increases. So at least we didn’t lose $$. If it’s a wash, it’s not a loss.

Thanks for your service.

Wrong if you are on TFL there is NO PREMIUM whatso ever. So dont post half truths. If you are retired when you get Medicare you also get TFL....no charge thank General Olds he sued the democrats to get us that promise we were given when we enlisted....

What is a Tricare premium? I’ve been retired for 15 years and haven’t ever paid a premium for Tricare...

Or are you talking about that HMO scam that was thrust upon us as part of Hillarycare back in the 90s?
