Issues/problems/disagreements can only be solved if both parties have something they agree on as a basis for discussing the disputes and finding resolutions. Some of the things we have used in the past are
* The US Constitution
* Other laws
* A court system based on rule of law and jury of peers
* Accepted language (meaning of common words)
* A common history
* Common goals of success for the country
* Shared interests - from the right to life&liberty to the NFL

The people kneeling down seem to want to throw away EVERYTHING that we have ever used as a tool for compromising, agreeing, or even discussing problems. How do they see us moving forward if we ignore the Constitution and other laws? And if words don't have a historic meaning we can agree on (e.g. "fair", "discrimination", "racist") so we can't even communicate what issues we have trouble with? What is the framework or process for even trying to find common ground?

We can't even use math/statistics/measurements that the other side doesn't like. If 40 of 100 students graduate, that IS 40%. We should at least be able to cite that then discuss whether it's true and if so what it means, and not be shot down for even using a stat. Especially when the people disallowing it love to cite stats on "gun violence" as long as we avoid stats on the individuals involved.

No matter how well meaning these people are, there is no way forward if the only answer is for the other site to sit down, shut up, and accept whatever comes.

What are the kneelers willing to leave in place (for now at least) to use as a starting point for understanding each other? Throwing away all language, history, laws, and experience from 1000s of years is a non-starter.

They are not interested in "common ground". They want money. They want to have the jobs white/asian people have without having to, ya know, study and do well at school, or, learn a trade. No, just gimme. Everything is just "gimme".

No one, in my family, ever had slaves. My ancestors came in way after that. Never had enough money to have any power over anyone else. I resent just being thrown into this pile of "deplorables" as if I am the problem with the American Black Community.

They are the problem. Marriage, not skin color, is what makes the difference in the quality of your life. Blacks decided that getting married was "acting white", so they have given up on it. All those spoiled children "taking a knee" out on the field, are the result of that lack of a father in the home.
