If you’re like me, you’re screwed.
As it is CBS’s nasty habit to shove the schedule down following a football game, my DVR started on time, but started out by playing twenty minutes of Oprah, then cutting Trek off twenty minutes early.

The program is not on regular Network TV. It is for streaming. CBS has a habit of running regular programming immediately after NFL games, which run long. I haven't watched 60 minutes for many, many years. Had regular problems with "NCIS Los Angeles", starting on time and blending over into the Hillary Propaganda Piece (Secretary of State) on a regular basis.

Recorded Star Trek Discovery, and like you faced Oprah and some kind of panel. I went elsewhere quickly.

It's almost like they know how bad STD is, and so stream it, rather than broadcast it on regular TV.

After these antics, I will not make any attempt to watch Star Trek Discovery, or the NFL in the future. So problem solved.
