The Tudors was okay, but it was no Game of Thrones.
There was nothing in it that was particularly memorable, except maybe how fat the lead actor could make himself and how much he scowled (though he does that in every movie).
The Other Boleyn Girl was a better version of the first part of the story.
Wolf Hall was too dark and moody (somebody or other will probably disagree with that or recommend the 1970s Six Wives of Henry VIII).
The Borgias, though, was awful, at least judging by the little I saw of it.
With so many major characters, I wouldn't want to name one as the "lead actor"; if you're referring to Mark Addy, his character was killed off 7 episodes into a six (so far) season series. Or is that all the more you've seen of it? Thanks.
What I'm after: something I can show my wife, who liked "Tudors" but is leery of "GoT". She ends up liking just about 2/3 of the movies/TV I do, but doesn't want to start this one without a quantity of positive outside opinion behind it.
