The Oakland Raiders will move to Las Vegas after garnering enough votes from NFL owners on Monday to relocate to Southern Nevada.
The Raiders received 31 of 32 votes to approve the move, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Twenty-four votes were needed. The Miami Dolphins were the only team to vote against the move, a source told Schefter.

Or St. Louis.
Well, the players can go see Donnie and Marie.
This will be interesting, to see two or even three lame duck seasons in Oakland.
Good luck selling season tickets in Oakland. I realize that the TV money is more important to NFL owners than ticket sales. But it’s still got to pinch their bottom line if they don’t draw anybody in their final lame duck seasons.
The NFL created the Cowboys and the Vikings to try to kill the AFL aborning. After all, it had worked for Major League Baseball and the Continental League.
Once again, EVERYONE is welcome to be a Green Bay Packer Fan! The ONLY privately held NFL Team, which results in a lot less of this BS. You can even be an OWNER next time they sell some shares to raise money for something. (Like purchasing a better Defensive Line, LOL!)
As an added bonus, there’s a Green Bay Packer Bar in just about every State of the Nation, so we can all drink together on Sundays no matter where we are. :)
I see what you did there...
Where is there GB Packer bar in WV & VA?
You don’t really need to bribe players to fix games.
There are tons of other ways to do it...bribe a server at a pregame meal to spike the food, for one.
Wouldn’t most people prefer to attend an open stadium night game in the desert in Sept. than a day game?
Thanks!
If not for the Port of Oakland, the city would be another Detroit.
Highly paid, barely not-teen, professional athletes in Sin-City...
The way the NFL has been going, the entire league could move to another galaxy, as far as I am concerned.
“The frozen tundra of Lambeau Field” ... home field’s supposed to give advantage.
agreed

Didn’t quite work out, did it.
Though they did force the Texans out of Dallas in 1963.
They moved to KC and became the Chiefs.
Also in 63 the New York Titans were sold and became the Jets.
That same year former Citadel assistant coach Al Davis became head coach and managing general partner of da Raydahz.
Regarding “Broadway” Joe Namath: because he was the most exciting player in the draft the owners and league officials met in the proverbial smokey back room and decided that Joe would be drafted by the Jets because NY was the center of all things media and the league wanted him where the big time media would write about his every movement.
A pure PR move, and Joe gladly gave the media plenty to write about.
