Seeing Old Yeller getting shot after he saves the boy's life where in the process of this heroic act the dog gets rabies is a gut wrentcher to watch.

I am not a crier but when I saw Old Yeller as an adult I did cry, not ashamed of it. Good dogs are a blessing and great dogs are a treasure.
