This guy should have been benched the minute he ventured into politics.

Intercepted!!!
Hope he isn’t signed and has to get a real job.
Kaepernick would be like having 11 Michael Vicks (the puppy killer) on a team; and even hometown fans would root for their team to loose if the roster had Kaepernick's name on it.
The country would be infinitely better off if the NFL just went away entirely. Cities and counties wouldn’t be co-opted into wasting taxpayer financed bond money building these a$$holes places to play that they grow tired of all too soon and then want to move on to fleece the next public entity, and maybe the brain dead jerks who let this crap rule their lives would have a chance to think about where our country is going. That may still be a problem because these fat-asses are too used to drinking beer, farting and watching TV all weekend, every weekend and as a consequence their cognitive powers have left them.
I remember back when OJ Simpson was on trial, one of my college-degreed engineering employees told me that “OJ could not have done it because he was a sports figure!”
Heck, Justin Trudeau would give him a hero’s welcome.
If a team picks him up and loses a game in which his stats are weak, the media will eat them alive.
I think they’ve lost a substantial number of fans forever
RGIII has been horrible with Redskins and got a job last year starting for the Browns.
" THROUGH me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.
All hope abandon, ye who enter here.
Oh they’d still be co-opted into building stadiums. Not NFL stadiums, but the NBA, MLB, and NHL all pull it off. Heck even the NCAA is good at getting new palaces built, and those teams can’t even move. And sports fans will be sports fans, get rid of football they’ll watch something, which they already do because the football season is short. And celebrity worship will still exist, plenty of folks just think the famous are better.
So no, nothing would be better without the NFL, it would be all the same problems, only with a different league.
...or semi-pro. I hear those guys make about $30,000. Not per game, per year.
In a perfect world, Colin winds up being Tim Tebow’s pool boy

that sounds better
Smith didn’t really do enough to be better or worse than anybody. He’s a backup, he makes backup money, and nobody cares where he lands. Kaep would be going in as a starter for much more money.
And RGIII was fine until the injury, especially coming back early from the injury. The Browns were hoping that the time off would do him good... then he got injured... then the next 4 QBs to replace him got injured. Bad year for the Browns. But they also picked him up cheap.
I wonder how many of the fans will come back?
Between the kneeling protests, “hands up, don’t shoot” protest by NFL players, and the network coverage of the 2016 election, I am done.
