I tend to agree, but I have compassion to that part of California eastward away from the Sodomized Mecca of LA and SF. I’d say put the referendum up to the county level in California and let’er rip. Those contiguous counties east of the coast stay. The rest leave this union along with their electoral votes.
Spit it in half first. Liberals in one half, conservatives in the other.
While this sounds appealing does anyone really think losing direct access to the Pacific , the main naval facility on the Pacific, direct connection with Alaska and Hawaii ( because Oregon and Washington state would be invited to follow suit), losing the tech base for the digital economy, losing the net 22 cent per tax dollar gain as Cal gets 78 cents in return for every federal tax dollar collected, that losing these is somehow worth it because we don’t like Cal. Progressives.
