First person I thought of when I heard this was Rob Reiner. Haim auditioned for Stand By Me, of which Reiner directed. Haim didnt make the cut, but who was? River Phoenix and Corey Feldman. All three of which have allegedly been molested or preyed upon as children by unnamed entities in Hollywood. Reiner has always struck me as the type, and it all just seems to fit. To me, anyway. Ive read plenty about maybe Spielberg. Its intriguing, but Im definitely in the Reiner camp right now. Just seems to ring true. Explained the story to someone else, first name that popped out was Rob Reiner. So Im not alone. Put the pieces together. (Comments section at http://theblemish.com/2011/08/corey-fel ... edophiles/

First, the writing definitely implies an ACTOR, not other staff.
But OMG, what if it was Richie Cunnigham; I mean, Ron Howard?!

My guess is Tom Hanks.
Reasons come from this biographical article.
- Comes from a broken home.
- Father was an itinerant short-order cook from Concord, CA who divorced when Hanks was four.
- Family was split up. Father took Hanks and two older two older children, mother took youngest brother.
- Rarely saw his mother after age 5.
- By the age of ten, Hanks had lived in ten different houses.
- His father remarried twice more, Hanks found himself with a stepbrother and four stepsisters from the first marriage and a stepsister from the second. His mother also remarried and he was known as Number Nine in a family of 16 siblings and step-siblings.
- From the article: He can be hard to live with he says, both at home and on a film set. If he's not getting his own way he can lose his temper... [H]e can be ruthless with money. "I do not go looking for trouble but I am no pushover," he warns. "I believe in making my points as politely as possible. If that does not work then I can become a little stronger in my intentions." ...Hanks, whose usually kindly blue eyes can take on the appearance of a chill winter's sky when challenged, always attempts to keep the peace on a film set. His ability to soothe hurts and slights is a matter of record...
- From Wikipedia: While Hanks' family religious history was Catholic and Mormon, he has characterized himself as being a "Bible-toting evangelical" for several years as a teenager. In school, Hanks was unpopular with students and teachers alike, later telling Rolling Stone magazine, "I was a geek, a spaz. I was horribly, painfully, terribly shy. At the same time, I was the guy who'd yell out funny captions during filmstrips. But I didn't get into trouble. I was always a real good kid and pretty responsible."
That seems like the profile of troubled youth with self-esteem issues, who learned to compensate to get his way.
I'm probably wrong, but it fits the tease.

Sal Mineo became a gay icon after his death

Travolta has kids. He had a son die a few years ago and had another baby with wife. Rumors of Travolta being gay have been out there. Didn’t someone sue him, a massage therepist?

Brad Pitt is too young, he was in college in Missouri in the early ‘80s until 1986, so he wasn’t even in the film biz in the relevant time frame.

Travolta’s gay. I went to school with his nephew who hated him. It’s not him though. The Rob Reiner aspect makes sense.

Did a search on Corey Feldman and Rob Reiner and this 2011 article popped up:
The number one problem in Hollywood was, is and always will be pedophilia, he said. Its all done under the radar
But its the big secret.
I was surrounded by [pedophiles] when I was 14 years old.
Didnt even know it. It wasnt until I was old enough to realize what they were and what they wanted
till I went, Oh, my God. They were everywhere, Feldman, now 40, said.”
What’s sad is that the pedophiles that surrounded Corey and others were homosexuals.... and now homosexuals are revered in Hollywood and across the land.
Simply. Horrible.

as sleazy a Charlie sheen is I don’t think it is him because his impulse control is so bad he would be caught. this person has to be a smooth operator and powerful enough to scare corrie Haim’s because he can back up his words.

Not unless it’s James Garner. I don’t really like a lot of Hollywood people as people, based on their reported behavior.
However, I don’t dislike most of them, either. These are people that I don’t know, and don’t care about.
Except for the two I’ve mentioned.
Ther may be some more, but I can’t think who, at the moment
