” apparently they know you need a hackable OS system and the sucky MS Office 365”

Thank Heaven I’ve held on to my Office 2003 program like grim death for a decade.

I have Office XP, 2000, 2003, 2010, 2013 & 2016 install disks. I keep the old stuff “just in case.”

lol. I still have an old XP sytem myself that I run old games on. ^_^ I still use Office 2010, too. ^_^

Unfortunately, programs nowadays are becoming "app" oriented, allowing users to use the program across various devices--pc, tablet, smart phone, smart watch, etc. That's the trend. And whenever Windows (and even Apple at times) releases an update or new version OS, there's always bound to be quirks and glitches.

My wife and I have done the same for our small business and home computers. At first it was just out of sheer economic necessity, but now we’re scared to install anything new from the company.
