Two hundred forty-one years ago, our nation's leaders established the Continental Army. Today, the Army is the strategic landpower of the joint force; called upon to prevent, shape, and win against our adversaries.
The U.S. Army's 241st Birthday is June 14, 2016, a day we celebrate the Total Army Force comprised of multi-component Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilians and their contributions to national defense. The American Soldier trains, deploys, engages, and destroys enemies of the United States in combat operations as the world's premier land force.

Let me add my best friend was KIA a couple of hours before this picture was taken.
My daughter (MOS Personnel) and Son-in-Law (MOS Infantry) are both Army vets. Proud of both of them!
Of course, my daughter was (lovingly) teased by her husband from time-to-time for being a “POG”... :-)
I have two daughters that also joined. One was a fueler and the other is in small arms/artillery repair!
I’m 65 years old and crying like a baby, I wish I hadn’t posted that picture.
We need our AG-344 Garrison Uniform back as the Service Uniform.
Not using the Dress Blues, going around looking like an unemployed class B Hollywood Movie Extra. I Feel like I am part of the cast from F - Troop / Ft. Courage.
Smiley is laying to my left, he’s dead. WAR SUCK’S!!!

SIERRA VISTA Every week of June 14, red-blooded Americans across the country are encouraged to celebrate one of the oldest symbols of our nation, Old Glory herself, the Flag of the United States of America.
The holiday recognizes the day the Star-Spangled Banner became our national flag, and also commemorates the birthday of the U.S. Army, both of which took place on June 14.
This year’s Army birthday theme is “The American Soldier — Always Ready, Always Leading, said Fort huachuca Public Affairs Officer Angela Camara in an email.
