If the circular firing squad continues, there will be a large number of voters in either the Trump or Cruz camp that will sit out the election and hand it to the 'Beast if their guy doesn't win.

That is unacceptable: we need EVERYBODY on our side to unite to have any hope of defeating THEM.

Most likely, Trump will get to 1237 before the convention: at this point, it would be a blessing. I supported Cruz and voted for him in the PA primary, but IN NO WAY will I withhold my vote from Trump if he becomes the nominee. I just hope more of get on board the #NeverHillary train now, and vow to support either one of our guys.

Apparently, seemingly overnight and because of the syncophetic love for Trump, the evil ones are now, Cruz, Limbaugh, Beck, Levin and Scott Walker.

Trump is the only true Conservative, everyone who has been fighting in the trenches against the progress of liberalism is a fraud. Only Trump is the true one, only Trump is the truthful one. And only Trump can save the Republican.

Freepers are going to be seriously disappointed if he’s elected. Stand by for Clinton light....

Why have so many here on FR turned on Ted Cruz in such a vicious way?

24x7 posting by certain Freepers saying anything and everything bad about Cruz (Cruz is: the AntiChrist, a liar, not actually conservative, in some cult, a Soros stooge, etc, etc) and lack of understanding regarding the way that delegate wrangling actually work are the main factors, IMHO. How it is Cruz's fault that the took advantage of existing rules makes him a cheater is beyond me. How Trump can fail to read the rules and take advantage of them and be a victim is also beyond me. But yes, I'll put the clothespin on my nose (again) and vote for Trump when he wins the nomination (which, BTW, he has not done yet).

I agree completely.

Cruz does a lot of stuff I don’t like, but we need to keep a second choice available just in case something happens to Trump. For all his faults, Cruz is the only decent second choice there is.

I’ve had to look past Trump’s faults. I can look past Cruz’s.

There is no “either one of our guys” anymore. There is Trump, and then there are the guys who have lost and are doing their best to make sure the last Globalist standing (i.e. Shillary) wins.

That’s pretty much where we stand now.

Clearly you cannot see that Cruz is just another globalist hack wrapped in conservative clothing. The battle isn't left and right, conservative vs liberal. It is the USA vs the world.

The appeal of Trump is the "wall" and a roll back of offshoring and putting America first in trade and other areas. Cruz cannot do that.

I "thought" I liked him early on...but then I got to know him. The more I saw of him, the less I liked him.

When he joined forces with Neil Bush and the GOPe that was pretty telling. Added to that, he continually lies...and we know he is lying...but he just keeps doing it! I don't understand it.

He just comes across as a snake oil salesman....awkward speaking manner...creepy smirks...

In a nutshell, he's just not a likable guy and seems like he would do/say anything to get what he wants.

Cruz was a stalwart Senator. He has ruined his reputation running against Donald Trump so when he returns to the Senate in a few months he will be ineffective and a laughing stock. Which is a shame. Except for trade/TPP and immigration Cruz was good in the US Senate.

I will never trust Cruz on trade/TPP this is for sure.

First, Ted shredded his constitutional principles by aligning himself with the GOP establishment/oligarchs in trying to rig the election in his favor AGAINST the will of the VOTERS.

Cruz lost to Trump. No path to the 1237. Instead of supporting the front-runner and bowing out gracefully -he picks a running-mate?

Before I knew who Cruz was, I had heard he is a constitutionalist, and I was pleased he was running.

Then as I got to see him and hear him speak, my gut feeling was this was a dangerously unbalanced mental case, and I couldn’t understand how anyone could fall for him. I mean, my danger-hackles go up when I hear him speak.

Then, I saw videos of his two sad-faced daughters clinging to their mother, clearly unhappy, and his older daughters’ chilling repugnance when he tried to kiss her. Yikes.

I think a lot of people have a sixth sense there’s something profoundly wrong with this guy.

Have yet to discover a substantive claim against Cruz from the Trump trolls. The master bloviator apparently has them bamboozled.

Cruz turned on conservatism and being a so called outsider. Everything he has done is GOPee like.

I didn’t and I don’t like Trump, but the way Cruz has tried to deny Trump the votes he won disgusts me. That’s why I like Cruz less

Cruz decided to go on the attack against Trump. He lost. Big time. Now Ted won’t go away. Thus we don’t like Ted because he’s proven to be the whore we were all worried he might be.

Many posters have posted so many good and cogent reasons in this thread that I agree with, as to why we should not support Ted Cruz for the presidency, such as his incessant lying, his blaming the victims instead of the savage perps in Chicago, his mind dwelling so much on bestiality (sex with rats), his not recognizing reality and knowing when his time is up, his whiny, effeminate, nasal-twanged, grating voice, his reaching out and embracing of homo GOPe types for his team (like Lizzie Graham and Jebezel "Jebsy" Bush), etc., etc., etc.

Beyond that there is that peculiar nose he has (which another poster pointed out in another thread).   Have you ever taken a really good look at his nasal structures?   Hillary would have a field day with that peculiar proboscis, that bizarrely strange schnozzola!   Take a look here for yourself.

I turned when he tagged teamed against Trump with Rubio and then blamed the Chicago riots on Trump rather than the left - gave the left cover for disruption. That last part was something I can not easily forgive. I can forgive the election tricks but not the acceptance of the left’s social justice warriors tactics.

It’s become clear that Trump will be the nominee. It’s now a mistake to do anything that might alienate Cruz supporters. Cruz doesn’t need anybody in November. Trump does.
