This is big. I saw the empty page at APOD and wondered what it was. Very big.

Space propulsion using gravity waves. Catch the big one and ride it to wherever it takes you.

I feel sorry for the guy in the black hole who saw that.

Bummer.
This means gravity runs at light speed and is not instantaneous.

All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

True but is not the communication between photons emitted from an excited electron instantaneous?

General Relativity states that gravitation is not instantaneous.

hahaha, I used to be one and I can assure you there is no after work. It’s either at work or thinking about work, except when playing softball or trying to “get some”. lol.

“This means gravity runs at light speed and is not instantaneous.”
Not quite. Gravitational attraction is instantaneous, it is just the transmission of gravity waves that happens at the speed of light. Gravity waves do NOT produce the gravitational effects we are all familiar with, those are produce by the warping of spacetime. Gravity waves are undulations in spacetime due to some violent change in the local geometry of spacetime.
If you think of the old “bowling ball on a rubber sheet” analogy of gravity, the gravitational attraction is due to the downward pressure on the rubber sheet from the mass of the bowling ball. Gravity waves would be like the outward ripples that you would see on the sheet itself if you suddenly tossed a second bowling bowl onto it.
