And yet, Hillary! has already been awarded 6 NH delegates. I wonder how much those cost her campaign???

Hillary has been guaranteed (by the womyn controlling the DNC) *all* the super delegates. So her total is really 17.

You would think the run-of-the-mill Democrats would be outraged by the apportioning of ‘superdelegates’ before the voting even starts. But I suspect most Democrats are unaware of this abrogation of the individual voter’s power.

I completely agree. However, the Republican Party also has superdelegates. Following from Wikipedia (yeah, I acknowledge not a scholarly source, but good enough for this discussion):

For Republicans, there are generally 3 unpledged delegates in each state, consisting of the state chairman and two RNC committee members.

A common criticism is that unpledged delegates could potentially swing the results to nominate a candidate that did not receive the majority of votes during the primaries.

REALLY? Thank you for the info. I was unaware there were ANY ‘superdelegates’ in the Republican Primaries. Will have to speak to the State party about that news.

Sanders was always going to win NH big.

Nothing matters before Super Tuesday.

Super Delegates better be carful that all those kids who believe Bern is going to pay for their college and wipe out their student loans won’t show up in the General if they think the DNC cheated Bern

Can you explain what that means? My concern is that voting delegates are seated who are not bound by the will of the voters in their states.

Now, I understand that after the first ballot, all delegates might be involved in negotiations to select a candidate. Otherwise we wouldn't ever get a majority.

But it seems to me that people who have no accountability could conceivably select the nominee.

So, I'm not sure what that's called.

“I-PUT-A-SPELL-ON-YOU...!”

My worthless brother-in-law (If you know him he probably owes you money)loves her because SHE will give him more money if he votes for her!

Free government money has always been his weakness for the last thirty years. His wife retired and applied for social security on his benefits, come to find out she could not draw on him as he HAS NOT WORKED long enough for her to draw!
