You are in Jersey? What is the feel for the GOP race there?

In New Jersey with its huge population on New Yorkers your not going to see them voting for Cruz.

Christie isn’t half as popular as Trump. In fact I can say Trump wins NJ, PA, CT and NY primaries. And puts them into play for the general election. Even MA. is potential for a big upset a blue state going for Trump.

I don’t see Cruz getting a win in the General in any place not a deep red state. Cruz can’t move to the center, Cruzers would abandon him.

The race is a non factor here at the moment. Our primary is in June and things will be over by then. We are generally finished with Christie so Trump would win the state by a landslide in the primary. He would break 50 in a multi candidate race.

Trump could put NJ into play in the general. It would be tough since the demographics of the state are much to overcome, but a good Republican candidate in a statewide race would pull 43/44 of the vote, so it’s conceivable that Trump could win this state given his popularity and ties to the state. Christie took 60% in the state in 2013. Cruz would get annihilated in the entire NE. The first state he would even be competitive in would be VA and he’d probably lose that by a healthy margin. Cruz would simply be a regional candidate if he won the nomination. Trump could very well win several non traditional Republican states.
