Centralia PA. (if ya dunt no, copy-paste and search)
Have not seen nor heard of Al Gore addressing this natural disaster.
(kinda odd considering the way his family rose to wealth)
I’ve often encountered elk on back roads and whether it’s day or night they have a tendency to just stand there until they see what’s you’re gonna do. I’ve crept up to them slowly and got where I could nudge them with my truck only to have them get annoyed and act like they want to charge me. Blinking lights and sounding horns are of little effect if they don’t wish to move.
You’d think over a century of trains and close to that of tractor-trailers would have disabused them of that notion by now.
There is a reason that semis out west have largely gone to big, stout 'Roo Guards up front.

Where ?
Elk are now headed down to the lower elevations where more peeps travel at high speeds.
Is Elk as tasty as deer meat ?
Swell, now we’re both on another list
I like it better.
Some herd.
Couldn’t hear worth a darn.......
Probably, still depends upon prep...
In NH, it tasted like deer
In Penn, it tasted like toll road grille
Haven’t tasted here yet cause the darn trains keep runnin ‘em down
“Is Elk as tasty as deer meat ?”
Better!!!!
Had a lot of deer meat this passed summer like it better than beef.
You do know that PETA reads this don’t you
(and the cute girl on “Big Bang Theory” who makes a million bucks per episode and wants YOU to donate money to save animals)
Not that there’s anything wrong with saving animals
Elk and caribou apparently love pipelines. They shelter under them if the pipes are off the ground. They snuggle up to them if they are heated.
Just imagine that twenty-three times in rapid succession. Pity the poor railroad employees who have to scrub down that locomotive.
Elk No. 22: “Betcha ten bucks the train stops before it gets to us.”
Elk No. 23 “Yer on!”
Tenderised is the word you want. (G!)
Here is one. They wouldn’t of stood a chance if this train was going fast. They just don’t know any better, I guess.
