"Climate scientists caution that these findings don’t mean it’s time to start celebrating the end of global warming. More than anything, the paper shows how difficult it is to measure ice height in Antarctica and that better tools are needed. For now, the study authors say, these findings challenge current explanations for sea level rise, much of which is attributed to melting ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica.

Okay. They need "better tools" to show this study of increased ice in Antarctica works better into their melting models. And then they say "melting ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica" is the cause of sea levels rising. WTF?

Someone somewhere in all of the planet please tell me where sea levels have risen. C'mon sea-level peoples, tell me where you have seen the rise. Hey, Floridans, you should know...please tell me.

I've kinda scoffed at those who say "global warming" is a religion, but after reading the above I'm starting to think it IS a Gaia based religion behind this contradicting thesis.

Is it just us who keep track of Sun spots and noticed that there has been NO increase in global temps for some 15 years along with the same cycle of Sun spots? Geeze, I'm not a solar physicist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn and know better. Maybe our so-called climatologists should get a room. This getting beyond absurd. They can't even keep their story straight.

Formation or gains in Antarctic land ice is a result of precipitation. Loss is a result of melting or sublimation.

The "better tools" they need is the IceSat 2 satellite that launches in 2017.

As for the sea levels, that is ocean topography and the Jason 3 launch has been delayed.
