I prefer the 1599 Geneva Bible because that is the very translation that King James was persecuting the serfs for and gave rise to our founders. The KJV was created as an answer to the Geneva. Geneva is the version used by our founders. It is also one of the true contextual translations of the Torah. Am I wrong to say the newer translations are all based off the KJV?

Why are you trying to gt into a flame war with the KJV-Onlyers? There are enough reasons and translations to suit everyone and everybody's desire to understand the Word. Most of the KJV and Geneva came from the work of Tyndale and the KJV translators made that well known. The desire was to get away from the Margin annotations which were often political in nature and caused problems between the different denominations.

Kjv has different sources than the others. Its why there are occasional verses that are in one but not the other. And the big question in those cases is, did one version leave them out of did one version are them, and which is in error?
