Tillamook is even better.

Best vanilla ice cream is Costco’s Kirkland brand Super-Premium vanilla. 50% more butterfat than Blue Bell or any other brand in a larger carton.

Love Michael B. Wish he were still on the Houston City Council or would run for Mayor now that Porker’s term is about to end, although I’m not sure why anyone would want to be Mayor - lots and lots of wasted money and corruption. One of these days one of the Dem mayors they always seem to elect is going to have to tell the truth about the City’s long-term debt.

I don’t think I eat as much Blue Bell as you do but it’s not cause I don’t love it. I need to lose some weight and I can’t do it with a gallon Of BB in the freezer.

I am not sure that I will get any BB for a while. I’ll bet the lines will be long when the word gets out.

FDA / State regulators decided to make an example of them, for whatever reason.

I love Blue Bell ice cream. I love their sherbet, too. About three months or so prior to the first announcement of issues at their plants, husband bought some lime sherbet and pineapple sherbet at my request. He was distributing bowls of it to children when he tasted the lime, and he spit it out. He then inspected the container and took all the bowls back that had lime in them. He dumped them and the carton and declared that it tasted like vomit. There was nothing wrong with the pineapple. But he was disgusted by the other. It did not stop us from purchasing their ice cream though. Until the famine started. I have resorted to buying Breyers natural vanilla bean since the BB famine started. We have also purchased some Costco vanilla which isn’t too bad.

“How filthy were their factories that it took them so long to clean them?”

That’s my thought, too! If normal cleaning procedures were supposed to ensure sterility and they did normal procedures many times a day, just what the heck took them so long? They mismanaged their production lines to the point they had to close. *yuck*

Don’t we all. I’ve decided that my weight isn’t the problem, it’s my height. So I’m concentrating on growing taller. That way I won’t be too short for my weight.

Brilliant! If we can grow taller we won’t have to ask taller people to get things off the top shelf at the grocery store! I am going to try growing!

Yeah, I suspect you’re right. Heaven only knows how long it will last in the stores before it’s sold out.
