This new amazon show called 'The Man in the High Castle' explores what would have happened if the Allies had lost World War II. It's based on a Philip K. Dick novel from 1962.
The hour-long drama stars Alexa Davalos (Mob City), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars), Rupert Evans (The Village), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Mortal Kombat Legacy), and Rufus Sewell (Eleventh Hour). Ridley Scott is Executive Producer.
It streams on Amazon prime this fall.

And 'A Scanner Darkly' and 'Paycheck'.
It’s free with Amazon Prime membership, but you could purchase the episodes if you don’t have Prime. You can watch Amazon streaming videos direct on your computer, thru an IOS app, or on your TV if you have a Roku box.
It’s a gimmick for amazon prime.
I’ll wait till it is out on regular dvd.
Ol’ Spocko looks a little pale there. Apparently that uniform he’s in don’t quite agree... ;)
I liked it very much and had never heard of it before.
I liked it. I liked the book too!
Cool! I didn’t realize that Ridley Scott was going to do this!
Amazon Prime had the pilot for this on last year, and I thought it was quite interesting, but either the pilot didn’t have RS associated with it, or they didn’t publicize it.

Are you referring to Fatherland?
I seem to recall that. Didn't that star Rutger Hauer as an SS officer who had discovered what the Nazis had done to the Jews, long before the movie was set?

If you've got a smart TV, BluRay, or many gaming consoles, if there's an Amazon client for it, you can use that. Or you can get either an Amazon box $100 or stick $40, and plug it into a USB port on a TV or (I think) a DVD or BluRay.

There’s also Trek’s “The City On The Edge Of Forever”, which speculates about the consequences of delayed US involvement in WW2, and Germany successfully developing nukes 1st. (Evidently the assumption is that we’d be even less prepared when Pearl Harbor occurs.)
Of course, the discussion of what happens when certain parties get nukes is VERY relevant, now...
Is there a single Philip K. Dick novel or short story that has not been turned into a movie or TV script at this point? I liked PKD as an author, but come on Hollywood - there were and are other excellent SF authors.
The pilot was really quite good. Just remember, don’t judge a pilot against what you hope the show will be. It usually takes at least a few episodes for a TV show to “get its legs.”
Well, except for “Firefly.” Joss hit the ball out of the park on the (original) pilot.

That's the most annoying part, they think we all were just twiddling our dicks back then, when it was the left who was telling America to do it.
Until, as you said, 7 Dec 1941...
Is this done after the novel, “Fatherland”?
HBO movie with rutger hauer. Was pretty good.
Thanks guys! I’ll consult further with the hubster and daughter (she has prime) I’d like to see this show.
Thanks HA, I’m glad you voted for a winner, I know that can be rare experience for us!
