Kasich lost me not so much for expanding Medicare, but for snottily saying, “Well, poo on you, I’m a better Christian than you” when challenged for it. If he had said, “I don’t like it, but if Ohioans are being taxed for it, then I’m going to get those taxes back (in the form of expanded Medicare),” the sin would be less. But saying that expanded welfare is more “Christian”? Eff You, Kasich.
Dear pogo, your analysis leaves much to be desired. Kasich merely told people why he wanted Medicaid expansion, and that was because of his faith, and to help the poor. Here in Ohio. able bodied people between the ages of 18-49, have to work to qualify for food stamps. However, in certain very poor counties, Kasich suspended that work requirement. There are many counties where there aren’t any jobs. We have some very rural areas with absolutely no employment. He is my governor, and he is open about his faith in the Lord, and never said what you posted. He does come off a little arrogant, but, he really isn’t. He’s confident.
“Im a better Christian than you”.
Kasich claims he’s Christian but says organized religion is “waste of time”. He belittles those that go to church.
When asked would he go to a same-sex “marriage”, his answer was short “sure, I’ve got plenty of gay friends and have went to their marriages”. This guy is a perfect example of a RINO. If Jeb Bush gets to lose to Hillary Clinton in the general election Kasich will go down with him because he’ll be on the bottom of the ticket.
