My main plumbing skill is calling a professional, followed by writing a check.
Amen to THAT!
I can do a little better than that, but I still don’t know all the names for the toilet tank thingies. ;o])
And I know how to build and/or fix a lamp. I can change the oil in a vehicle as well as change a flat tire.
I can cook and sew and start a campfire from kindling. So much for that...all that and a large balance on my debit card will get me a Starbucks, if I am so inclined. However, McDonald’s still has the BEST iced chocolate mocha! And it won’t break the froggy bank!
We missed the Kitteh, this morning!
Darn, you’re right! It’s been a long time since that happened, if I was at home!
Well, you’re forgived! Some days, life just excapes us!
(While I’m thinking of the crumpets for Christmas, I wonder if the crumpet company would have any really good pears...?)
I’m SUCH a nagger!
My visit to the doctor today was rather productive. I was able to have all the tests done but the chest x-ray (tomorrow) and the bone density, which I have to schedule an appointment for in Vegas. And I also had a blood test, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the paperwork I had. But it would seem a blood test is ALWAYS part to the pre-op tests.
It was a good trip to the doctor, though it was long...but I didn’t have to wait more than five minutes for anything, so I’m good!
I’ve decided I want to make my favorite Jeweled Cheese Ball for Thanksgiving. I need to buy rum and coconut flavorings, but the thing is TASTY! Cream cheese, pecans, flavorings and dates. And I need to get all that and Wheat Thins. Dates are hard to find!
I should head for bed. The fatigue is so tiring, these days. I keep thinking it’s CFIDS, but other symptoms aren’t there. I don’t know what is going on. Maybe the COPD is just whuppin’ my backside.
I am not fond of pears, myself, but Harry and David’s fruit is guaranteed. If you don’t like it, you can get a replacement or refund.
Good news about all the tests getting done today. I’m planning to be in bed as soon as the boys and Kathleen calm down.
Mrs. Atkinson has an obese old black lab, and while Tom was working on her toilets, the dog licked my feet until my socks were all soggy.
I was informed about how evil and islamophobic it was for states here to ban these unfortunates from their borders. And then I found what seems to be the perfect solution to this problem..

I for one think that is not enough. I think the proper allotment should be at least five per qualified recipient. You know, just to prove how non-islamophpbic they are.
Of course some unforeseen consequences might beheading from this plan...
And dat’s da TROOF!
Now I’m REALLY tired, as I was up and down most of the night, and I hate when I do that.
I will go get the chest x-ray, but I think that will be my excitement for the day.
I could have sworn I just bought Instant Breakfast a couple of days ago, but I’m down to three, so that means it’s been a week. Dang. I can’t keep up with this stuff any more. :o[
Ungh. I want to go back to bed. Maybe I’ll just get a throw and lie down on the sofa.
1 and 2 only work when you’re coming from in front of the wall.
I thought I’d leave out the “stuff” and the vocabulary requirements since this is a family forum.
“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”
-From “The Notebooks of Lazarus Long” by Robert A. Heinlein.
If you're seeking water from any position other than in front of the wall, you're probably in the wrong house.
This website has gotten really sad.
I agree, wholeheartedly! And there aren’t very many of those things I can do. drat.
Yes. I have to be really bored to wander away from UT and OFST and when I do I usually remember why I don’t very quickly.
Well, now. Yesterday, I was able to get almost all the testing done at the doctor’s office, and went back today to get the chest x-ray.
The radiologist mentioned a caution about the surgeon who is to do the work on my neck and asked if I trusted him. Since the doc already told me about “some BS on Google,” my hackles are up. But I can’t remember what agency to go to online to find out more about him... Dang. Short-term memory sucks.
I just made the appointment for the bone density test, and it will be in the same week as the MRI. But after that, I’m done with the tests.
Which is why the UT thread is so important: It helps retain your sanity!
Try the Nevada Medical Association:
If they don’t have that kind of information, they can tell you who does.
Real life isn’t all that right now, either.
