When asked whether he supported South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s decision to call for the Confederate battle flag to be taken down from out front of the State Capitol building, Trump said he did. “I would take it down, yes,” the billionaire real estate mogul said. “I think they should put it in a museum and respect whatever it is you have to respect.”
I don't see any cowering or apologizing there. Just because you revere that flag doesn't mean everyone has to. I've been reading FReepers making the point that it was the Dems who put it up in the first place, yet somehow anyone who doesn't rally around it now is a coward and a traitor, whether it ever meant anything to them or not. Doesn't make much sense to me.
