That was a bright spot in an otherwise somewhat distracting and depressing “news day” I have to say.
I’ve seen maybe five flags today ...
I just arrived in Austin via Dallas and Tokyo, and was pleasantly surprised to see a VFW honor guard exhibition ceremony at DFW, and giant USA and Texas State flags at half staff all over the place. Quite a storm today too - it put me right to sleep. Happy to be back in Texas for a few days.
