What did your city do for Memorial Day? This is what happen where I live. I don't think we can post from the local paper so I used West Coast Thunder Facebook page. They road though where I live today. I'll try to post most of my pictures when I get home. But for now
I worked.
NYC: chillin’
Rained out here in N. Central Texas. Did some yard work before the rain started.
lay low and slip another ‘patriot’ into every mosque within one hundred miles ...
Pathetic.
Our local Republican Ward Leader dropped off the radar, thusly, no Memorial Day festivities.
A really touching ceremony in Hope, AR.
It was complete with cannon booms, high school band, posting of the colors, brief but meaningful speeches by the dignitaries, and even the laying of a large round wreath at the local Memorial Monument. And those sweet two youngsters who carried the wreath had each lost a relative in the war within the past eleven or so years.
And even three WWII veterans were there.
Yes, it was an uplifting ceremony.
Just watchin’ the tornados go past...
4 weather alerts on the phone: flash flood, areal(?) flood, severe thunderstorm, tornado watch.
The weather guy on the TV is telling people to hide in the bathroom and that the kids should wear their bicycle helmets. (Helmets prevent accidents and tornados, obviously.)
Not in “my area.” In Annaoplis. A few flags around but mostly sleepy.
Lol. Me too. Sadly. But hey, I’m not building these businesses. Obastard is. /spit
I was hangin’ with ABW.

We have the typical California dysfunctional City Council but being a city with military roots they manage to set that aside on days like Memorial Day. Most of the events will be this afternoon and evening.
How very cool! Thanks for the photos!
They said there were about 7,500 riders. Guess they all didn’t start at the same time. I read a comment at the WCT site about how it sounded for 4,000 Harleys to start at once.
So far today.
Pay your respects

My daughter sang the National Anthem at a 15k race honoring Memorial Day where my wife and I attended. She and her boyfriend also visited Arlington Nat’l where my Father is. “Master Sergeant. WWII, Korea, Vietnam.” My Uncle is also buried there and the flag from his casket is draped over my garage. Correctly I might add. Where it hangs every Veterans Day, Independence Day, 9/11 and Memorial Day.
My sis just called me in tears (good ones) about the MAGNIFICENT, Christ-Affirming, Patriotic, and Respectful all=day event in Lee, ME (pop a little over 800)
small town central TX hill country... VFW hosting the last BBQ in the building before it is sold as membership has dwindled and they can’t afford to operate past this year. Scouts did the Flag ceremony and MIA, Gold Family and Vets all honored. Moved inside the Hall due to the rain at noon.
Love small town Texas and our own Liberty Hill!
ymmv
Well done.
My late pop, Freeper “Skyraider”, made sure every marker in the cemetery had a proper unstained flag this day every year. He even had a roster of name and location for every marker.
After his passing, I don’t know if anyone picked up his work.
