Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul vowed on Monday to "everything possible" to block renewal of the terrorism-era Patriot Act, but the Republican presidential hopeful conceded it may not be enough.
Speaking in front of Philadelphia's Independence Hall, Paul lashed out at the National Security Agency's bulk collection of American citizens' phone records, which many in his own party say are needed to prevent terrorism.
I have an idea: How about we SCREEN or outright REFUSE individuals seeking to come into the United States? Oh wait, that would do away with the need for the Patriot Act! The U.S. lets the bad guys IN, in order to justify SPYING ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Given what I now know, I support him in this even if I don’t support him for President.
This crap, this misuse and blatant disregard for Constitutional protection of American citizens has gone on long enough.
It is reprehensible that this Administration and Democrats hide behind our dead civilians and solders on the pretext of terrorism yet REFUSE to call Muslims at large terrorists.
Their goal is to identify, track and someday end patriotic Americans who don’t agree with them and their ideals of simultaneous inclusion and division at the same time.
Why wouldn't a constitutional president?
EOs are a constitutional way for the executive to relay orders to the executive branch.
And that's all an EO does.

Are we safer now? No. Do all the freedoms US citizens lost because of the Patriot Act and the permitted invasion of the US make us better off? No.
The Patriot Act should be abolished, and the DC crowd should figure out that you can not defend a nation that's being invaded.
The sell out finally doing something right.
A clear attempt at redemption.
I would.
One. Rescinding all the EOs for an arbitrary number of decades and banning any further ones.
Singing a one note song it seems. He had a lot of promise his first year before he went Establishment RINO.
He’s nothing like his dad Dr. Ron Paul stood for true Constitutional Principles.

Well some exec orders are lawful, and some are not. Zero has made a habit of issuing illegal ones that usurp the role of Congress. Exhibit A. his immigration executive orders.
He did have some executive action memos without the teeth of an EO.
But he NEVER had any immigration EOs.
