I believe in Christ. Christ said we’re to love our neighbors as ourself. We are even to love our enemies and those who despitefully use us. Can I do this? Really, no. I try, but I can’t love President Obama. I do pray for him as our leader. I am not strong enough to love the Muslim terrorists, but I pray that light will come to their hearts. I certainly don’t know how to love Hillary Clinton. However, I’m a strong enough Christian to love Bruce Jenner. He is thean who obviously has suffered. We all suffer in one way or another. I am sorry for his situation. I don’t understand it but he is a good father by all accounts and his ex-wife’s seem to wish him well so he’s not a horrible person. He has not lived a terrible life and doesn’t deserve to be treated the way some people wish to treat him. I have love in my heart for him and whatever he needs to do is between him and God. That being said, I sort of don’t appreciate the in your face publicity of it all, but perhaps he thinks he’s helping others.
Oh lord almighty
I doubt seriously Jesus venerated queers
Maybe I missed it
You’re one of these holy rollers who only tolerates anything but those who won’t tolerate anything
That’s great
So don't you sit there and tell me I shouldn't push back against that crap. People are fed up, do you get it?
You say you don't appreciate the in-your-face publicity, but you, along with others on this thread, have been bleeding all over the place, calling us intolerant bullies and trying to shut us up for objecting to this latest step in normalizing sick behavior.
I have news for you...you can mewl all you want, but I'm never going to stop voicing my objections.
To love as Christ loved is not sentimental, it is strong and true to the Word. It is not the same as feeling warm and fuzzy towards someone's sin. Jenner is seeking absolution from the world and from his fans for his dysfunction, rather than seeking the true challenge of the Cross. Had he submitted himself to the Lord, you would not be hearing his appeals for sympathy, nor would you be trying to make excuses based on his "works" of being a husband/father we are saved by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus, not through our works. He may have "come out" as a Republican and he thinks he has "come out" as a woman; but did you hear him "come out" as a follower of the way of the cross? No. Your attempts to make excuses for his scandalous behavior that will doubtless cause others to stumble are also endangering your walk.
We are told to love; we are also told to be discerning, to be "wise as serpents," to resist evil, and above all, to love the Lord and be obedient to what He wants, dying to self and the desires of the flesh.
Matthew 10:16: "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
1 Corinthians 14:20: Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.
Ephesians 5:17: ...be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Colossians 3:16: Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
