I am glad your doggie is feeling better.
We love our furry friends.
So I feel much more peaceful this morning.
Thank you dear Mary Lou. He’s still not up to par so I’m watching him closely.
I was happy to see your post Gail, was thinking of you when I posted last night. So glad they came!
((HUGS))
I’m glad that your dog is all right!
The Early Morning
The moon on the one hand, the dawn on the other:
The moon is my sister, the dawn is my brother.
The moon on my left and the dawn on my right.
My brother, good morning: my sister, good night.

Happy Monday, Everyone!
He is relying on you, his human friend, to watch over him when he’s not 100%.
It’s what we do when we have furry friends.
Thank you Trisham!! ;)
I know ML. They know when we are ‘helping’ them. Piper is only 10 pounds so it’s really scary when he gets that sick.
Have you checked for tick-borne illness? I almost lost Lynn-Dah last year to a complex of Erlichia, Anaplasmosis, and a form of Lymes Disease that caused her to love nearly a fifth of her body weight.
A blood test will show.
We don’t have trouble with ticks here. The Vet did a full blood test on him and said everything was good except for a high white blood Cell count - indicating an infection ‘somewhere’. He did a urine test and didn’t have a bladder infection.
He gave him a high powered antibiotic shot and meds for nausea and diarrhea. Plus he gave him one of those one day flea pills as he had fleas. The once a month flea/heartworm drops I’ve been putting on him don’t seem as effective as they used to be. The worst thing is that he wasn’t eating and he’s an eager eater, lol.
Poor baby, he really got ‘dosed’ up!!
I remember when Lynn-Dah was sick, it’s always frightening.

What a wonderful funeral! Cindy remarked as we walked out. Helen, our friend, had died. And friend after friend celebrated her by sharing stories of her all-around fun behavior. But Helens life wasnt all jokes and laughter. Her nephew spoke of her faith in Jesus and her care for others. She had taken him into her home when he was young and struggling. Now in his twenties, he said of his Aunt Helen, She was like a mom to me. She never gave up on me in my struggles. I am sure that if it wasnt for her, I would have lost my faith. Wow! What an influence! Helen leaned on Jesus and wanted her nephew to trust Him too.
In the Old Testament, we read that King David took a young man named Mephibosheth into his home with the purpose of showing him kindness for the sake of his father, Jonathan (Davids friend who had died; see 2 Sam. 9:1). Years earlier, Mephibosheth had been injured when his nurse dropped him as they fled after the news that his father had been killed (4:4). He was surprised that the king would care for him; he even referred to himself as a dead dog (9:8). Yet the king treated him as his own son (9:11).
Id like to be that kind of person, wouldnt you? Someone who cares for others and helps them hang on to faith in Jesus even when life looks hopeless.
INSIGHT
: Mephibosheth, Jonathans son, could have been heir to his grandfathers (King Saul) throne and a potential threat to Davids kingship. But David promised his best friend, Jonathan (1 Sam. 20:42), that he would care for his family. In todays passage we read how David made good on that promise (2 Sam. 9:9-13).
Allergies to flea bites can also be a source of infection.
I am glad your vet did a complete workup!
Prayers up! :-)
Prayer of Thanks On this Tuesday Heavenly Father, I thank you for my life and everything you have bestowed upon me and upon all people, this day and every day.
I thank you for the good and bad, the understanding of forgiveness, and your holy power, without which we would have nothing. I thank you this day for all your blessings, your gifts, your never ending love for us. Although we all are sinners, I ask you to forgive me every day for what I might have done wrong, that I might not have noticed. Even though we all come short of the glory of God, I thank you for the sacrifice of your only son Jesus Christ for all our sins. You and only you know us Father and you know if our hearts are true. So once again, I thank you with all my heart and soul. In the name of Christ I pray,
Amen.
A Happy GratiTuesday to everyone here at Amy's Place.
