The French army? Did I wake up in a time machine? I wouldn't be so dismissive. The French military lost 90K men KIA over 40+ days of fighting during the Battle of France. It lost 75K men KIA during its Vietnam War. The French have always been staunch in the face of adversity. France's problems were its small size, being located next to Germany and not having a continent's worth of resources to supply its military, that was also out of range of enemy attack.
