I worked at a McD’s in the 70’s and yes, you could get burned if you were careless or stupid.
Good advice. Stuff happens. Put on the big-boy pants and cope with the burns/accidents. Be careful. Don't whine.
Kitchen sentiment just a few years ago.

If McDonald’s does fall prey to these thieves, I will refuse to eat there.
For what they’ll have to charge I can get a better meal elsewhere.
And linen napkins...
I’ve got to think any robot would be a big improvement over the majority of fast food workers.
I too worked in fast food as a kid. Hardee’s! Hot grease is hot!
McDonalds will become the world’s #1 customer for specialized robotics.
so....if they get their $15/hour they are okay with getting burned by hot grease?
Nightmares of being chased by a red head with big floppy shoes...
DANGER! COFFEE IS HOT
Time to use the fry robots and reduce the labor costs.
Yup, the fools are gonna prioce themselves right out of the job market.....
Pretty soon the only McDonalds job will be refilling the Store sized McDonalds Vending machines...
I have read somewhere that some of the equipment used to cook food can get hot. Elsewhere I read that it is a good idea not to touch hot things or to let hot things touch you. These can be VERY difficult concepts to learn...
This should finish them off for good.
Things like that don’t happen at Burger King and Wendy’s?
Last I saw 1/3 of Americans had their first job in fast food, so this isn’t really news. Well I guess to the liberal elite, most of the rest of us already have the scars from life cooking bad food fast, it’s generally high on the list of reasons to get out.
Burns in a kitchen!? I’m shocked, just shoked I tell you, to hear that these idiots didn’t know that a kitchen, especially a commercial one, contains things that can burn you.
I briefly worked at a fast food joint..loved doing the bobbing for French fries..the memories..the skin grafts..sigh..
I went to McDs last night (food was good for what it was), and noted that they had a robot for the drinks now. When ordered the machine grabs a cup from the dispenser, drops the cup into a conveyor belt of holders, moves the cup to the drink nozzle, fills the cup with ice and drink to the correct amount, and, is ready to serve. The staff had to push a button and that was it.
Goodbye Summer Jobs at McDs.
Listed at $7100.
Most McDonalds are open 24 hours a day.
To have just one person working all the time is 24 man hours.
If wages are raised from $9 an hour to $15 an hour, that's $6 an hour more.
Add in payroll taxes to that.
So...that's about 1000 man hours to pay for a machine.
About 42 days and 1 machine would pay for itself.
Paying these clowns more money will magically make them invincible. They only get burned because they aren’t making enough money.
Can’t remember the last time I had McDonald’s food that had evidence of any serious heat going on.
