They made 3. One was converted to a carrier part way. The other was Musashi.

The Japanese planned four of these - Yamato, Musashi were completed as battleships, Shinano was completed as a carrier. The fourth wasn't completed at all.
It may not have even been started as it became clear after the war's onset that Japan needed the material for carrier construction.

BTW the Musashi was better constructed than Yamato - it took far more punishment and took longer to sink.
