Okay, I only started watching the Today Show this morning just before 8 A.M. but no mention of the name of BRIAN WILLIAMS at the top of the hour news nor afterwards. Sooo...did anybody on the show mention the name of BRIAN WILLIAMS before that time or is BRIAN WILLIAMS now a complete non-person?
Also was it my imagination or was the Today Show crew acting over-the-top jolly in order to wipe out the memory of you-know-who even though HE is at the top of their thoughts. I bet they are having a hard time to keep from blurting out HIS name like some sort of Tourett's Syndrome.

"...was the Today Show crew acting over-the-top jolly..."Maybe that's to compensate for all of the tossing and turning they were doing last night as they worried how many of the whoppers that they've told over the years will emerge.

We'll never see or hear from whatshisname again. After six months he will quietly retire and fade away. He won't be starving, either. As Forest Gump would say, he's probably a GO-zillionaire.

Chuck The Toad did make a very, very short mention of Brian Williams' travails just before a commercial break this last Sunday morning. Just a brief blip on the radar that you would have missed had you turned away momentarily to pour your coffee. But no segment on it or talking heads commenting on it. More like he wanted it to go away. Quickly...

oh i hope he gets all sorts of gigs, and that he comes back real soon. he’s the poster child for what’s wrong with today’s media, and i don’t want him to go quietly into the night - i want him out there as a constant reminder

I agree. NBC will take the CBS-Dan Rather route on getting rid of a pimple on their face. After six months and the furor dies down some, he will quietly retire and go to some never-heard-of-before-cable channel to do fake news and nobody will be the wiser. After Dan Rather left CBS, you never see him except on as an occasional talking head on some delusional panel of some rarely heard-of cable program.
If NBC does bring him back, what will they say? That he spent six months in liars rehab and now we can trust what he says again? Once a liar, always a liar. People don't trust dishonest people because....well....because they are dishonest.

Don’t fret. He’ll be back. He’s just been placed in a special holding chamber within the Memory Hole reserved for member of the protected class.

” Rosie ODonnell, one day after leaving her gig on The View, thinks NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams should join her on the unemployment line.
I dont know how you can have somebody embellish and have the trust eroded when theyre delivering the news, ODonnell said Saturday night.”

Sure, he’s gone for now but do most Americans really care about truth or integrity? If they did Barack Obama wouldn’t be president. John Boehner wouldn’t be Speaker of the House. And there would be a high turnover in the congress every two years to clean out those who violate “promises”.
We are lied to and deceived constantly by our politicians, government agencies, and even the media. Its become the natural order of things. Few seem to care. So I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Williams have a comeback. Libs have a way of doing that.

Brian Williams is history because he is now the punchline for endless good jokes.
Case in point...

LOL. Good post. The MSN in general has a high regard for itself. He is symptomatic of a larger problem.
