Yes. The police are corrupt, the highways are like the wild west, and the insurance companies demand proof of everything. So nearly every Russian driver, as I understand it, leaves a dash-cam running at all times to document any encounters with the police, accidents or criminals.
I like the idea of a dash cam. I think it would be a great idea for anyone. Lots of fraud here too! Unless it’s a fortune, your insurance company doesn’t care, they’ll happily pay out a few grand and jack your rates through the roof, PERMANENTLY.....
