...he is rightThe US created the power vacuum by toppling and/or attempting to topple leaders who kept their maniacs in check. We armed "rebels" to do our regime change fighting for us. They instead chose to fight for what they believe in. The US not only created ISIS, we armed and trained them, and created the power vacuum where they can thrive.
We're still on the wrong side.
