The Democratic Governors Association plans a hefty purchase of television ads in coming weeks to bolster Maryland Democratic gubernatorial nominee Anthony G. Brown in his campaign against Republican businessman Larry Hogan.
The $750,000 in spending, confirmed Tuesday night by several people familiar with the ad purchases, suggests that the Democratic party is bracing for a more competitive race in the heavily Democratic state than early polls suggested.

Maryland Election Warning. Perhaps Hogan’s outreach to democrats is working.
Hogan’s message of wanting to lower taxes to ease the tax bite on inidividuals, to bring businesses back to Maryland and his call for the elimination of the “Rain Tax” which is also levied on non-profit and churchs in addition to home owners and private businesses is having success among the “I’d rather be Democrate Red and kept than Republican and free” crowd.
Out of state money should never be allowed in state or county elections.
Racist? MD doesn’t want its first black governor?
They are also going after hogan for buying a bus and essentially lending it to his own campaign? Huh?
How dare he...unless it’s bought by Soros, it isn’t REALLY a campaign bus.
Hopefully a repudiation of O’Malleyism.
Soros and pals attacks from all sides all the time.
He isn’t black enough....
Obviously, the Rats perceive Hogan as a threat. That is good news.
Go Hogan !
If I could sell my house, I’d be out of here so fast...
I’m watching this one from across the Potomac ...
Brown’s TV spots are creepy ... he seems to be positioning himself as the Second Coming of 0bama. They’re disturbing and disingenuous.
Hogan’s ads are quite appealing and conservatively themed.
I haven’t seen any of Brown’s ads yet, but caught one from Hogan last week while watching NCIS rerun. I thought it hit all the right issues.
Of course Brown will probably do the regular “War on Womyn” and how Hogan will make abortion and birth control illegal, something which he as a governor cannot do, but the Dems don’t care about that bit of truth
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
