Pick a field you in which you have experience, or else you will be eaten alive in international trade.
Get the heck out of China and start drawing again.
You can own your own art studio.
First, you find or make a product.
then you go to business seminars to meet people and network.
then you find the people in the chosen country who will buy it, or will sell it for you.
then you find the laws, regulations, licenses and tax papers you need to clear first.
Finally, for many countries, you find who and how much you have to bribe to do all these things.
Shipping stuff is a PITA. Basically, shyp takes the problem off your hands for $5 plus what it would have cost you to ship the normal way. You don't have to do anything but hand the item over their pickup person. They box it up and ship it. You provide the shipping details via a web app on your smart phone or other device.
They make the $5 plus the difference between what it would cost you to ship and what it costs them to ship (they get lower rates because of their volume). They have a machine that makes boxes just the right size for a given item.
Now, of course, the question is, would this idea work in China (it remains to be seen if it really works in the US)? That's your department!
It used to be that you could have your own business by simply declaring that you were in business.
