That’s all I needed to know; pass on it.
.357 Mag in that 1911 rig is a rim fire?

Friday I was talking with one of the guys at the auction house that is close by. He said when they were going through closets at a house they will be selling in an estate sale next month, they came across this Nazi issue Walther, complete with the papers that allowed it to come through customs back in 1945. I'll bet the bidding will get intense on it!

.357 Mag in that 1911 rig is a rim fire? Correct! It was in my Coonan...but I had an old one before they went out of business. When I sold mine the FFL said they were back in business again which I had no idea of. Maybe they resolved their issues? I can't say. I know Desert Eagles shoot rimmed magnum but I don't know if they jam like on a 1911 frame. I know my 10/22 shoots .22s perfectly. But it makes sense rimless are for semi auto and rimmed ammo are for revolvers...

The dead Nazi didn’t need it any more...

I don’t need a $1,400 jammer, as a carry piece. I have both a ‘74 Colt Trooper MK III 6” and a Henry Big Boy Lever chambered in .357 Magnum, sharing centerfire ammo.
I was hoping to gain another piece using that common 158gr HP ammo, of which I have many cases. But it’s not going to work for me if it’s rimfire and a jammer.
