Quinn and Rose are off the air, (temporarily, I hope!) Gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten! Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!
Patrick Henry
A very appropriate quote from Patrick Henry, given the overt tyranny of the guy in our White House!
Obama to the President of France: “ Thats the good thing as a President, I can do whatever I want
IMPEACH THE BAS@#&D!!!
Mornin’ everybuddy!
IMPEACH THE BAS@#&D!!!
Good morning. ‘@ everyone...and I agree! IMPEACH!!!
Just saw the news...Shirley Temple passed away. She was 85...May she rest in peace. Sadly, these pastings always seem to come in 3s...
Gotta go check the weather...the predicted east coast storm was tracking WEST last night. Interested to see what the system is doing this morn.
Good morning!
The Good Ship Lollypop has sailed.
RIP Shirley Temple.
Morning! Listening to Jeff Kuhner on WRKO in Boston. I’m getting to really like him. He’s outspoken too. Calls Obama ‘Dear leader’!
Another, admittedly month or so old, radio discussion group came back online overnight. It was about a Bloomberg article and CC. The consensus was that WPGB could stay talk. The thinking was that they dumped Quinn because he is too old...makes mistakes with the equipment...and makes too much money. With him gone costs are cut.
The group was also very skeptical that any station would pick him up because of his age and the money he deserves.
Meanwhile other radio discussion websites are positively wetting themselves about more sports talk in Pittsburgh! Bleaugh!
Obviously they are running Bloomdaddy because he works cheap.
Lord knows there is absolutely no other reason to be running that program.
You can be sure, it’s ALWAYS about money, but...
I’d say a radio host makes a great bulk of money on advertising voice-over work and not necessarily on the base show they host/perform. I haven’t listened to the Pittsburgh affiliate since the morning of the 18th, deleting it from my iHeart list (I am a Florida resident and always streamed their show).
I am interested, does anyone know if the same advertisers switched voice-over talent for their ads on 104.7? Or are the Quinn & (or) Rose ads still being played in their original format? I am talking about advertisers like the plastic surgeon (Dr. Pautler?), the Dentist Dr. Voller or the - spelling warning - Vactronics.
Or did these companies pull their ads from 104.7 completely?
